ADULT VOLUNTEERS

Come and join us!

Aged 18 or over? Want to shape the future of young people? Want to help them achieve things they never thought possible? Want to find out about being an adult volunteer at Jimboomba and Districts Cadets? Then read on…

Central to the JDC are its many Adult Volunteers – enthusiastic and committed people who inspire youngsters to achieve their goals, whether it’s learning how to canoe, reaching the next level of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, or learning how to look after themselves at annual camp.

Being an Adult Volunteer brings a whole new dimension to your own life too. You don’t need military experience, but whatever personal and professional skills you do already have, you will be able to put them to use in a completely new environment. It’s not just the Cadets who learn. Adults too have the chance to acquire a whole range of new skills with access to a vast range of courses in everything from adventure training and marksmanship through to first-aid and communication skills.

If you can give up one evening a week and want to do something productive and exciting with your free time, this could be exactly what you are looking for.
